SUMMARY:HPAAC August/September 2026 P1/P2 Course
DESCRIPTION:Prairie paragliding will be offing a complete P1/P2 course Augu
 st 21th-September 7th 2026 based in Charlottetown\, PEI and Parrsboro\, No
 va Scotia. This is a hybrid course for both students with a P1 and for stu
 dents with no prior experience paragliding\, and by the completion of the 
 course students will have earned their P2 rating allowing them to continue
  flying independently.\n\nThe course will run all day for all of the sched
 uled days. Depending on weather students should expect ~6 hours training e
 ach day as two 3 hour blocks (morning/afternoon and evening) with a long b
 reak. The tentative schedule for the course is:\n\n 	August 21st - 22nd P1
  Ground training PEI (Mostly for new P1s\, returning P1s can join if they 
 want more refresher)**\n 	August 23rd P1 on Hill Training Parrsboro (All s
 tudents\, refresher for returning P1s)\n 	August 24th - September 4th P2 t
 raining Parrsboro\, Optionally will extend 5-7 for weather etc.\n 	Septemb
 er 5th - 7th P2 flights /w Festival of Flight PEI\n\n** Schedule may be ad
 justed where needed for students needing additional ground time\, however\
 , the needs of all students must be considered and adjustment may not be p
 ossible.\nThe course will be based in Charlottetown\, PEI and Parrsboro\, 
 Nova Scotia and will utilize locations in those areas. Students will need 
 to arrange their own transportation and where applicable\, accommodations.
 \n\nSpots are limited to 8 to ensure that students get the feedback they n
 eed to complete this intensive course. There is a minimum enrolment of 4 s
 tudents to make this course possible. Priority will be given to maritimes 
 residents.\n\nEquipment will be provided (students will need to bring thei
 r own helmet\, gloves\, and appropriate footwear)\, however\, students are
  strongly encouraged to purchase their own equipment so they can continue 
 flying. A discount will be offered with purchase of equipment. Students sh
 ould not purchase any used equipment without consultation with the instruc
 tor\, as the used market is of varying quality and safety.\n\nCost: $2250\
 n\nIncludes $250 funded by HPAC\n\nPayment:\n\n 	$500 deposit to secure sp
 ot\n 	$1000 one month prior\n 	Balance prior to start of the course\n\nDis
 counts Available:\n\n 	$400 discount if you purchase a Prairie Paragliding
  beginner package prior to the course. Information on packages will be pro
 vided after deposit.\n 	$300 returning P1 that completed the 2025 HPAAC P1
  course with Prairie Paragliding.\n\nSign up\n\nPay Deposit\n\nNote: Signi
 ng up does not ensure a spot\, only payment of the deposit ensures a spot.
 \n\nPrairie Paragliding will accept the first 8 students paying the deposi
 t\, regardless of when this form was completed. Should spots subsequently 
 open due to cancellation Prairie Paragliding will contact all waitlisted s
 ignups in order received and accept the first deposit payment for the spot
