SUMMARY:Yukon July 2026 P1/P2 Course
DESCRIPTION:Prairie paragliding will be offering a complete P1/P2 course Ju
 ly 14th-30th 2026 based in Dawson City Yukon. This course is intended for 
 students with no prior experience paragliding\, and by the completion of t
 he course students will have earned their P2 rating allowing them to conti
 nue flying independently.\n\nThe course will run all day for all of the sc
 heduled days. Depending on weather students should expect ~6 hours trainin
 g each day as two 3 hour blocks (morning/afternoon and evening) with a lon
 g break. Though it may be possible to complete the course attending only o
 ne block on week days\, and both blocks on weekends\, success will be high
 ly sensitive to weather. The tentative schedule for the course is:\n\n 	Ju
 ly 14th &amp\; 15th P1 Ground Training - All students need to be available
  all day for this portion. Students not completing the ground training\, o
 r having insufficient ground skills will not be able to safely participate
  in the remainder of the course.**\n 	July 16th &amp\; 17th P1 Low flights
 \, P1 Exam (Top of the World sites)\n 	July 18th-26th P2 Training Flights 
 (Top of the World sites)\n 	July 27th-30th P2 Training High Flights\, P2 E
 xam (Midnight Dome)\n\n** Schedule may be adjusted where needed for studen
 ts needing additional ground time\, however\, the needs of all students mu
 st be considered and adjustment may not be possible.\nThe course will be b
 ased in Dawson City\, but will travel to several locations for training. S
 tudents will need to arrange their own transportation among the group.\n\n
 Prior to the course students will need to complete the online grounds scho
 ol.\n\nSpots are limited to 8 to ensure that students get the feedback the
 y need to complete this intensive course. There is a minimum enrolment of 
 4 students to make this course possible. Priority will be given to Yukon r
 esidents.\n\nEquipment will be provided (students will need to bring their
  own helmet\, gloves\, and appropriate footwear)\, however\, students are 
 strongly encouraged to purchase their own equipment so they can continue f
 lying. A discount will be offered with purchase of equipment. Students sho
 uld not purchase any used equipment without consultation with the instruct
 or\, as the used market is of varying quality and safety.\n\nCost:\n\n 	Yu
 kon Residents: $1750\n\n 	Includes $500 funded by AYPH and local pilots\n\
 n\n 	Non-Residents: $2250\n\nBoth costs include $250 funded by HPAC\n\nPay
 ment:\n\n 	$500 deposit to secure spot\n 	$1000 one month prior\n 	Balance
  prior to start of the course\n\nDiscounts Available:\n\n 	$200 discount i
 f you purchase a AYPH glider (used as training gliders during the course\,
  supply and options limited) or $400 discount if you purchase a Prairie Pa
 ragliding beginner package prior to the course. Information on both packag
 es will be provided after deposit.\n\nRefunds:\n\nAll fees paid will be re
 funded should the course be cancelled prior to start for reasons outside o
 f the student's control. Partial refunds will be issued should students be
  unable to complete the full P2 course outside of their control (weather i
 ssues\, etc.)\, the amount of the partial refund will depend on the amount
  of the course disrupted. No refund will be available for students failing
  to complete the course due to inadequate attendance. Inadequate attendanc
 e shall be determined by the instructor to be failure to train by the stud
 ent's own choice\, and includes the choice to only be available for one of
  the training blocks.\n\nSign up\n\nPay Deposit\n\nNote: Signing up does n
 ot ensure a spot\, only payment of the deposit ensures a spot.\n\nPrairie 
 Paragliding will accept the first 8 students paying the deposit\, regardle
 ss of when this form was completed. Should spots subsequently open due to 
 cancellation Prairie Paragliding will contact all waitlisted signups in or
 der received and accept the first deposit payment for the spot.\n\nQuestio
